Customizing MARC Records
Summary
CEL has provided for common MARC Customizations. This feature can be found in your MARC download area then select Custom MARC from the top right.
You will then see the entry screen
001 Customization
The 001 field may be customized to prepend a value.
Example: cel10012345
028 Customization
The 028 field is a fixed value and appears in every record.
Example: 028 60$a10012345$bCaOOCEL
856u Customization
The 856u field may be customized to include proxy prepends.
The standard 856u field looks like this: $3desLibris e-book:$uhttp://deslibris.ca/ID/439941
A prefix can be added to the text to generate a string like this for all records generated for client "university.ca."
856a Customization
This is a fixed value. Anything entered here will appear as entered.
856c Customization
This is a fixed value. Anything entered here will appear as entered.
856h Customization
This is a fixed value. Anything entered here will appear as entered.
