How to set up a Home Page for your library

In  the Profile is a Home Page tab which allows Library Administrators to customize the site for users.

In the Account Information tab, you may enter the name that you wish to appear in the "Welcome" message on each page. You may also upload a jpg of your library's logo, which will appear on the Home page.

Definitions

A Home Page is the page appearing on the "Home" tab on the site.
A Landing Page is the page which first appears when a user enters the site at the url https://www.deslibris.ca/
The two are not necessarily identical. 

Using the image below for reference: 

1. When this box is checked, the Home page will appear as the Landing page (that is, the page which appears when the site is first accessed.)
 The default state is "Off," making the Search page the default Landing page. 

2. The Dynamic tab is accessible to Library Administrators. It can be used to set up a customized Home page. There is a template on the tab which can be altered for this purpose.

3. This checkbox is used to activate the Home page in the style chosen.
Important note: The default state for "Activate my Library Home Page" is "ON" or "TRUE." 
In this state, the Home page will be a default page, which is https://www.deslibris.ca/en-us/alternatehome.aspx 
But if Box #1 is unchecked, the Home page will not be the landing page, so the page will be seen only if the user clicks on the "Home"" tab,

4. The Custom tab, which is not accessible to Library Administrators, may be used to set up a special url as a home page.

Note: the "Dynamic" page tab has priority over the custom tab. So you need to uncheck the “Activate my Library Home page” from the dynamic tab if you want the library users to get the custom URL as home page.
