Many institutions use a proxy server to authenticate remote users and pass them on through the institution's recognized IP range.
Adding a proxy server IP address to desLibris may be done by the Library Administrator under the IP and Remote Access tab.
Once logged into desLibris navigate to your Profile > IP and Remote Access > Proxy Server
These items are required:
The login page from the client proxy server
A unique name
When these are saved, the system will generate the direct access link (#3) which can be given to users. Then, when a user comes to this url from a point outside the IP ranges on file, the desLibris server will authenticate and redirect to the proxy login page (#1). .
You should also include your Proxy server IP address in the list of addresses for IP authentication on your account. See more.
The Test login (#4) is not required, but it will be helpful for our tech support to have in case you require troubleshooting.
