Overview
An acquisition profile is a predefined search that returns newly added content. This search URL is sent to a configured e-mail address on a scheduled basis.
Steps
1. Set up a search for the content you wish to monitor. (In the example below, documents containing key words "Corrections" or "Correctional."
2. Select the Results "List" view (as opposed to the Results "Covers" view.)
3. Click on Online Order
This will provide a checklist view of the titles in the search.
1. Uncheck the first title
2. Click on "add this search to my acquisition profile."
The next screen will present the opportunity to add settings to the profile, including labelling, frequency, start date and email recipients.
The "Persistent Search" url will be sent to the "Send to" emails on the frequency chosen. This will reproduce new titles meeting the search criteria as they arrive.
Saving these details will place the profile in the list accessible on the Library Dashboard, where it may be edited or cancelled.
