desLibris content (all Books and Documents) is indexed and available through the following Webscale Discovery Services.

While MARC records provide a degree of access, these services augment cataloguing by providing libraries with a unified index of content, fulltext search, results ranking, and other access tools which simplify and focus the discovery process. All desLibris titles included in these services carry links for direct access to the full text of each title.

(Note: although CEL provides complete monthly feeds to all services listed below, we have no control of quality or completeness of content, which is under the providers' control.)

desLibris collections can be found in WorldCat's WorldShare Collection Manager by searching for "Canadian Electronic Library". 

  Metadata for the "desLibris Documents" collection is delivered weekly, and the collection should be updated each Thursday.

  Metadata for the books collections is delivered monthly, and the collections should be updated on the third or fourth Thursday.

  (We apologize for the interruption of metadata deliveries for the books collections between summer 2017 and February 2019.)

HLM (HOLDINGS AND LINK MANAGER) has collections corresponding to the desLibris subscription collections and to the 2008 CRKN purchase.  Metadata sets are delivered on the 12th of each month, and HLM updates their metadata fairly promptly.
 

EDS (EBSCO DISCOVERY SERVICE) databases have been updated to correspond to the collections available on the desLibris platform.  This took effect as of July 6, 2018.  Updated metadata is delivered every Friday, and full text has been indexed to enhance the relevance of search results. 

The database code for CEL in EDS is "edscel".  Libraries should select the databases corresponding to their holdings.  We're not sure of the exact collection names, but they are something like:

• desLibris Documents Subscription
• desLibris Books Subscription
• Irwin Law
• Ulysses Travel Guides
• CRKN purchase 2008

There are also records for books which are not in any subscription collection, but are only available for Perpetual Access purchase.

To find CEL/desLibris collections, go to the Holdings Management tab on your EbscoAdmin dashboard and search "desLibris." This will produce the following:

The 360 Knowledge Base includes databases for five current desLibris collections. 
They are usually updated promptly after updated metadata is delivered on the 6th of the month. 
The Provider name is Canadian Electronic Library.

There seems to be a significant delay in updating these collections from the 360 Knowledge Base.  SFX title counts visible in July 2018 correspond to metadata delivered in November 2017.

CEL's desLibris collections became available in Summon in December 2017. 

Updated metadata is delivered on the 13th of each month, but we have no confirmation of how promptly they are loaded. 

The collection names are something like these:

desLibris collections, based on the same metadata deliveries, are also available in Primo. 

     The screen shots below are from April 11, 2018.

     The "portfolio" count for the books collection was similar to the title count in the November 2017 metadata delivery to Summon. 

      The currency of the Primo collections seems to have improved since then.  In February 2019, we found that a library catalogue supported by Primo included titles from the November 2018 metadata delivery.
